So i'm building my first gaming rig: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/zCGnNG
and it says it will use (estimated) 720W. I listed a 850W PSU, but there is a 750W model i'm considering. Is 30W enough for overclocking.

Are you deciding on 16 GB RAM?

Okay then. Get a 900 W+ PSU for that R9 280x crossfire and you're done.. Since you're overclocking 950+ W is recommended.

Oh and the website doesn't list what efficiency the PSU is e.g.
a 750W 80+ Platinum PSU gives as much power as a 850W 80+ Gold PSU and a 1000W 80+ Bronze PSU from what i've read into. But i need to know about the overclocking thing so should i play it safe with 850W 80+ Gold?

Simply put, 80 Plus is a rating given to power supplies based on their efficiencies at certain loads. It isn’t a good indicator of the quality of a PSU, since manufacturers may sacrifice other important things in an effort to achieve the certification. In addition, even though the PSU is rated at a certain efficiency level, environmental factors such as heat can rapidly degrade your PSU’s efficiency. In conclusion, don’t base your purchase solely on this, use it as an indicator.

If you overclock CPU/GPU/RAM in very near future get a 900W PSU (You don't really need to overclock RAM for a gaming sytem). For overclocking the CPU alone, get this:

That means, stay with the PSU you've selected ;)

In my humble opinion, SLI/crossfire setup is power hungry. For building a new build, don't go for SLI/crossfire. May I know why are you going for multi-GPU?
