hi, i have recently built a PC and i bought an external disc drive and it was working fine when i was installing everything, 2 weeks has passed and i have bought battlefield 4 and i put the disc into the drive and it pops up on "my computer" for a second then disappears. I have looked for solutions on-line, i have tried updating the drivers, i have tried editing the registry, it is not appearing anywhere (this includes disk management and device manager)

If someone could help me please im almost in tears

P.S. I know it works still because ii just tried it with my laptop so it has something to do with the PC

Is the drive still powered when it is not detected? Check that the USB on either end is not loose.

Tried reinstalling its drivers?

The driver page for the Lite version is oddly missing on the site. Maybe try uninstalling the Drivers and let Windows Update install for you.

figured out why there isnt a driver page, its because drivers are not required for this disk drive, you should have to plug it in and it should work, and it used to but now its buggy.

Any other solutions?

Is it connected to an USB3.0 port? Try using it on an ordinary USB port. Vice versa if its on a normal port.

already tried it.
Things i have tried:
- Drivers
-Changing the registry
-attempted to uninstall from bios, disk management and device manager but couldnt find it anywhere because my pc isn't reading it
- turning off my pc for minutes
-unplugging and re-plugging EVERYTHING
