I got a hp pavilion dv6 3090si i7 bulit in graphics is 1gb 4gb ram and small games like need for speed underground dont work it go and i have another laptop that has a celeron 4gb ram and 850mb video mem plays hitman absolution just fine both run windows 7 ultimate

It depends on whether your 850mb vram computer has a discrete gpu or a built in gpu as well.
Unless we're talking about entry-level cards or very old ones, a discrete card will almost always outperform a built-in.

Okay this my specs Intel core i7 CPU Q720 @ 1.60GHz, 4gb ram, ATI mobility Radeon HD 5000 series could you tell me what is wrong with it i went to control center for catalyst and put everything for high performance still not getting anywhere with it

Well, shame on me for not checking, but I was on mobile, so it's not that easy.

Either way, if you wrote the model right, your DV6-3090SI has an i7 720QM, 6GB memory and an ATI HD 5650; while the the CPU is kinda on the "ok" side and RAM is more than enough for a laptop, the GPU is barely enough to play any game at high details.

You MIGHT be able to play them at low, under 720p resolution or lower, but that's that. You don't have a built-in card with that CPU, so it's strictly running on the discrete HD 5650. Your other laptop may feature an older but beefier card, which can outperform your current HP's one.
