just received my new GPU a Sapphire dual-x R9 270X 2GB pci-e to go with my AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 95W, Retail Boxed)
that i also ordered :) and 500W EVGA Bronze PSU.

my new mobo is a Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard (AMD 970/SB950, DDR3, 6 x S-ATA 600, ATX, PCI-Express 2.0, USB 3.0, Socket AM3+)

does all this work together? everything i researched says it does but i would just like a double confirmation from some experts :) thank you for any help :)

No problem.
I have one suggestion though.
I would replace that PSU with a 620 or 650W quality PSU.Why? Simple.
500W is the lowest recommended wattage for the R9 270X,so I would replace it as soon as you have enough money.Replace it with an XFX Core 650W/Antec HCG 620M/Seasonic 620W/Rosewill Capstone 650M. It will support any single GPU you buy(check here http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm)
You don't have to be in any sorta hurry, the EVGA 500B is gonna be enough for the 270X for a while, but as soon as you have money, buy one of those PSUs mentioned. ;)
