780 dvi does not work but hdmi does

so i just bought 780 and i installed it using dvi.

problem is the hdmi cable is not mine so i have to return it.

when i boot it up using vga (dvi to vga )

it seems it doesnt work

i tried deleting the driver .

but still no image on boot up.

It will be the DVI to VGA adapter cable. Most of them just plain don't work as advertised. Nothing to do with drivers. Those cables are a big con. VGA is an analog signal whereas DVI is a digital one, complete opposites.

You need a monitor with a DVI input so you can use a regular DVI cable, until then just use HDMI (buy your own HDMI cable).

sir if i recall correctly , dvi-i to vga works on my previous card. i have dvi-d to vga that might cause the proble, . do you think so ?
