PC Upgrade With Sapphire Radeon HD 6870

I've been recently considering upgrading my computer. I am thinking to keep my old VGA card ( Sapphire Radeon HD 6870)What kind of CPU and Mobo , would I need to get the most out of that?

Hi there. I think that even Pentium G3258 would handle this perfectly. You can also go with FX6300 from AMD if you like. Both are good for cheap gaming rigs.

As 6300 is for OC you'll need a good chipset which is 970 or 990 (first one is cheaper). If you want to save some money go for http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-970extreme3r20, but if there is no need then pick http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20 this one.

If you're not playing games at all then go for Pentium G 3258 then. It would be far enough for your needs and it would be cheaper then FX6300.
