My laptop's CPU's temp. while browsing (more than two tabs) or watching HD movies is about 48 - 50 C and my GPU's temp was about 55 C. (these values are from speedfan and after cleaning the laptop). They both share the same heat sink and I disassemble and clean the dust inside my laptop once in two weeks. Are these values okay?

The temps are fine, laptops are tolerable to fairly high CPU temps (they usually idle in 40C range), and GPU temps similar to desktop ones. So you're all good.

All good, due to congested space, the heat is harder to dissisipate, resulting in warmer temps, which're fine by laptop standards.

Okay. What temps are dangerous when doing these works?

While browsing and stuff? I'd say 60C+ on CPU or GPU is not good.

One more question: Can I remove the optical drive from my laptop, it's completely dead. I'm thinking to give more room for air to enter (weight will be reduced but dust gets in too). But still it's a good idea?

It'll create a gap for air to enter, not a bad idea, but mind you from every point where air can enter, sound and dust can enter too. So you can try it, but make sure you keep it dust free and you shouldn't mind the extra noise if any.

Na, I don't mind the noises. :)
