I am building a PC for the first time and pretty much have all the hardware that I want/need in mind and picked. But the only thing I am torn between is the case i which to house my hardware. I am doing a custum water loop with acrylic tubing and a cylinder resevior. At the moment http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ray123/saved/7XmNnQ is what I have. I will be upgrading to SLI titans with waterblocks and waterblocks on the CPU as well. Which case would best suit a build like this and also be somewhat futureproof. PS visuals don't matter as I will be having a custum design painted on the bare case.

The gtx 980 is the fastest gpu now and the gtx 970 overclocked can beat 780Ti i think..better price/peformance..needs less energy and theyre cheaper if you can,get gtx 980 for super high-end system.

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-strixgtx98... you dont even have to think about it..cheaper than 780Ti and its the fastest single gpu now :)  and i personally would go with Phantek..just like it alot more..but if you really need alot of space just go for 900D :)

I do plan on doing SLI in the near future, and defnately want this to be as high end for gaming as $3000 budget will allow. You would recommend 2 980 SLI over 2 780 ti? Also since i will be using waterblock on everything but the motherboard I will be overclocking although this is all fairly new to me in terms of hands on.

The 900D is one of the best FULL towers on the market.

In your opinion would it be worth the extra $100 vs the Primo? I wouldn't mind paying the 350 for the 900D but i want to know if it's worth it as i could allocate those $100 into another component.

I own the Enthoo PRO , and the PRIMO is built along the same lines , I would go with the Primo , Phanteks is building quality cases at a great retail price.

I own the 750D and the Enthoo Pro , and I prefer the Phanteks.

Go with the PRIMO.

Originally I was sold on the PRIMO once i was looking at it's reviews, but what had me worried was the space for the watercooling radiators and resevoir. The last thing I want is for the build to look and feel cramped especially with push pull rad setup

If that's your main concern , then the 900D is the answer , no lacking in that huge beast.

If you have the money...and don't mind spending them monies... 900D hands down xD

I am pretty skint so I mostly find the good alternatives then it would be the Primo, but in my case right now I got the Enthoo Pro xD

Yeah i've just seen far too many watercooling builds that everything jsut looks cramped especially with monster graphic cards like the 780 ti and the 980. Although it's minor asthetic issues, i would like to see a clean and uncramped build for the budget i am spending.

well the 900D is so big that it dwarves any GPU xD But ye as what SR71 showed on the image, its a really really big case. With alot of room for rads and cylindrical/tube res. The windowed panel is also a bit better as you can see the inside a bit better compared to the over tinted one from Primo. Well most Windowed panel are tinted which sucks. I usually mod the windows and replace it with a 3-4mm acrylic panel but the problem is that they attract dust very easily. Although the effect is that the things inside looks more clearer and shinier.

But ye as mentioned before if you got no qualms about spending it for the 900D, then its definitely 900D.

Get the 900D the room is superior.

That pic says it all , can't compare to the spacious 900D.

Thank you Blackbird for all of your advice, before you go I wanted to ask. For Anti-Virus software (paid) what would you recommend for something that won't hinder the performance all that much.

My GTX 970 G1 Gaming have the same ports :)  but with an Extra DV-I, think its got something to do with the gigabyte's Flex tech gimmick. Which is why they also had 3 display port 1 hdmi 1 dvid and 1 dvi for not only the 980 but 970 too.

I hate the Strix line :(  preferred that old one's with black metal PCB + double go faster red stripes.

Ye, If they can spend the money I would also recommend the 980 if he wants the current best from Nvidia xD

Yeah you're absolutely right about wanting the 980 and extremely happy to hear about the multi monitor support. Now I just can't wait to start the build. How would one go about building an inexpensive test bed to test my components for doa?
