SO i have a ddr2 667 1 gb stick and i want to put in a 2gb pc2-3200 stick. Can it be done?

If it is 240 pin then yes, it should be compatible with your motherboard, given the information about it.

But if you are asking if you can use the both at once? The answer would be yes, you can. But you would have to do some motherboard BIOS tweaking to get them both on the same voltage, if they aren't already. Some people say that mixing 2 different brand RAm at the same time could be problematic, but usually isn't.

yea i've googled it and it should work but everytime i try it the system doesn't boot up

Probably because they are using different Voltages. I have never had this problem so idk what to say, sorry but I gave you all the information I had and I think i answered your initial question as well.
