Ok. I have a corsair graphite 760T casing which can install

2 x front 140mm fans
1 x bottom 120mm fan
1 x rear 140mm fan
3 x top 120mm fans

Ok the problem is my mobo Asus z97-a only have 4 fan case headers.
which is not enough for me to install all the fans. So, the rear fan that I have now is corsair AF140 LED quiet edition which I connect it to the CPU_OPT header. As for my noctua nh-15d 2 fans connect to a Y-cable to the main CPU header. After doing so, when I started to switch on, the rear fan and the noctua nh d15 spin in high rpm. It worry me because I am surprise to find out from the bios that the noctua nh-d15 is spinning at 1200rpm whereas my rear fan 1176rpm.

Before this hardware changes, my noctua only spin at 500-600 rpm and rear around 800rpm. Did I do anything wrong??

You might want to connect your extra fans to molex connectors from your PSU. What do you have your CPU fan plugged into?

I plug my cpu fan to my main cpu header with a y-cable. If i plug my case fan to psu through molex will that cause it to run in full speed? Can I change the rpm with my fan controller come with my casing?
