Hey, I've been looking around for quite a while now, also got to LoL community forums, support etc... basicly my problem concists of huge fps drops (190 Laning/180 Tfs) to like 30, not less, not more. This countinues for 3-5s after which it is all fine. On a another post made by a rioter I saw R9, Nvid GT 600 series and some ati hds, having problems with the game. Could that be the cause or is sth wrong with my rig? (Note I have not expirienced any problems, WoW(MoP) Runs on 100 - 110fps ultra in most populated spots. Shadow of Mordor, Watch_Dogs, Skyrim all running fine.)

Every single driver is updated to the current latest version.

Specs:
GPU: AMD R9 270x OC 4GB
CPU: AMD FX 8350 Not OCed.
Storage: Intel 120GB SSD
MOBO: Asrock 990FX Extreme
RAM: 8GB 1600Mhz Single Channeled (Soon to be 16 dual)
CM K350 Well cooled case
*600W 80+ Bronze PSU

Are you sure your GPU temperatures are ok? And that there are any other GPU demanding processes running such as video editing? If you notice your CPU is to hot (through software such as MSI Afterburner) you should get your GPU out and remove the dust with something without damaging the component, if necessary use MSI Afterburner to make you fan run higher than normally.

Thanks for the quick answer, however it's none of the stated above. The PC is litteraly one week old. No rendering software runs while I play. I've noticed the temp stays at 55 during all the time I play League, reaches 60 on other games (Last played CS:GO it peaked at 59). CPU holds 50 at all times, when something heavy goes on it does get hotter, as it should tho. :)

Your graphics card is fine as long as it stays under 80 degrees celsius. You might wanna check if Vsync is not on in game it might cause some screen rendering problems.

It's not, I think I found the reason. It states "League is not a very demanding game, so basicly your card runs in low profile for a moment (that 3-5s interval) and then it goes back to high.) Guess it's on riots side... :/

However, might my monitor be the cause? It is pretty old, Acer AL1716. It flickers abit, it started 2 years ago. 60Hz.
I have this monitor for over 8 years.

I'm pretty sure it's not the monitor but vsync does really change settings which may result weird with 60 hz monitor and get you to lower fps. You can just try out different settings in a custom game. It's probably RIOT's fault though :p

Vsync keeps it on 60 at all times, but there is so much input lag I'd rather have a 5s 30fps...

Thanks a lot for your help, really did relief me somewhat!
