So when I was cleaning the dust out of my computer with a can of compressed air, I pulled out the case fan wire out by accident. My friend built this for me ages ago so i don't know where it's suppsed to go so I wired it to the slot that says pwr_fan. The fan is also making a different noise too. I originally rewired into the slot that sys fan but thats when I smell that annoying smell so I rewired it again. Some people online say that it's the oil or something like that. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you were frying the circuitry of the fan. By having it plugged into the wrong slot. As long as it isn't smelling strange any more, you should be fine.
