I play starcraft 2, and the game lags when there are a lot of units on screen. I have a 29" monitor, and I play on max setting on 1920 X 1080.

GPU: GTX 670 2GB
CPU: I5-4430 3GHZ

Which of the two would I need to upgrade in order to avoid the lag?

Thank you.

Both components should not have much problems. Did you check the drivers, are they the latest, are the temps ok?

While you're playing, use GPUz to monitor your GPU load.
Use something to monitor your CPU load (can simply be task manager)

If your CPU usage drops and your GPU usage increases, you have a GPU bottleneck.
If your CPU usage increases and your GPU usage decreses, you have a CPU bottleneck.
If both decrease, chances are it's a CPU bottleneck, unlikely but possible is a memory bottleneck.
