This is what I should upgrade my PC to:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
Mobo: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
RAM: 16GB
PSU: 750W
120GB SSD, Windows 10 next year
3TB SATA disk

And now I'm just gonna see what GPU I will go for. I use 3 monitors with extended desktop, not gonna use them all three for gaming at the same time, only for extended desktop!

Should I buy
ASUS GeForce GTX 980 4GB
or
ASUS GeForce GTX 970 STRIX 4GB

What ever I choose it will be much better than the Radeon HD 7700 1GB I use now...

If you have the money, get the 980.

If single monitor gaming the 970 is more value for the money and fine for 1080P gaming.

If you don't mind spending the money and have the money get the GTX 980.

Originally I was planning for a GTX 980. But it was a pre-order cause it ran out of stock. But I know that time that I can only afford 1 GTX 980 and never I'd be able to get a second one for SLi.

That made me switch and change my order before it was shipped and instead got 2 GTX 970 G1 Gaming from Gigabyte and paid it in full although I added another £100 for 2 970's since I already paid £500 for 1 980 which was also a Gigabyte.

1 thing for me was that two 970 is able to beat 1 980, and that I could SLi for £100 more, ofcourse two 980 can shoot 2 970's but the price would then be way too much at £1000 for 2 980. Ofcourse SLi can still have disadvantages unless all games and programs are optimized for it.

One thing is certain, I won't be upgrading after a couple more changes in my rig for a long while and that I will be walking to work and eat cupped ramen until the next pay day D:
