I was planning on getting a Samsung UE40H7000 for PC/Console gaming due to the absolutely superb display, but I've heard TV's have terrible response times + input lag. So, here I am, looking for the nicest looking (with reasonable response times - 8ms and below) monitor. Price isn't a huge factor for me, as long as its less than £1000. Is it even possible to get anywhere near as good colours on a monitor as on a TV?

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

Depends on what size TV you currently have..
But I'd recommend the Sony KDL42W705B. Tops both the "Input Lag" and "Lag" tests on the website below.

I had a look at those TV's actually, but if I were to go with a TV, it would be the Samsung models, as I have had excellent past experience with them :)

Okay so for Samsungs, this is the best one (based on lag timings)

Sorry for being a nuisance, but I should have been more clear in my response. If I were to go with a TV, it would be that Samsung model previously stated (UE40H7000). I am looking for monitor (21.5"-28") with screen quality similar to a TV :)

Oh right no probs. I'd go for ASUS VG278HE (if on budget) or the ASUS RoG Swift PG278Q, both are 27" monitors.
