Hello everyone,
I'm new to this Forum and to PC world :)  Yesterday i built my first rig with Z97 Gigabyte Gaming 7, i7 4790k, Samsung 840pro SSD and 3TB WD red HDD. I installed Windows 8.1 pro on my SSD. Its really nice, but i have one small problem. My "System Reserved" files seem to be on HDD which prevents it from being converted to GPT disk which i need to take advantage of 3TB, i wanted to create one 3TB disk for all my files, but now I cant. I read about Seagate sogftware which allows me to use that unallocated drive, but i would prefer to have one 3TB drive rather then 2. Thanks in advance :)  im attaching screenshot of my disk drive manager.

Do not mess with that reserved volume, it contains the boot manager and recovery console (among other things). If you remove it or assign a drive letter you will render your system unbootable. If you want that volume on the SSD then you will have to reinstall Windows clean with only the SSD attached.

Thanks for fast answer. What would you recommend? Should i re-install windows with only SSD connected? Or just let it be?

Depends on what you want to do with that HDD. Or if it ever dies.

Right. But in the future, if you want to take it out and put in another PC, or if it dies eventually....no boot for you.

If this is a brand new Windows install on the SSD, I'd suggest redoing it, with only the SSD connected.

also, if you delete all the partitions on the SSD, make a 400MB reserved partition (just for future reasons, windows 10 if you upgrade when it comes out)
if you don't specify one, windows will make one for you, the size depends on the version of windows)
