Ok hi, this may not be the right section to post this question.

Could you provide information about this laptop, please?

Hp Pavilion G6 1110SH

I've no idea how old it is. I google'd it and searched specifications and this is what I've found:

core i3 cpu 2,1 ghz (2 cores, 4 threads)

4GB ram (but "mine" has 8gb) - I put mine in quote marks because it's yet to be mine.

1366x768 resolution.

Intel HD Graphix 3000 and it says it has no dedicated vid mem.

Okay here are some questions:
If I connect a full hd 16:9 monitor to the laptop, will the screen actually be 1920x1080? Does it support that res?
If not, does it support 1280x1024 standard 5:4?

Will games run on that if there's no dedicated vid mem?

Thanks!

I found a little more detailed specs here http://notebook-price.com/HP_Pavilion_g6-1110sh under the specifications tab.

"If I connect a full hd 16:9 monitor to the laptop, will the screen actually be 1920x1080? Does it support that res?" with a short enough shielded cable, yes but see below
"Will games run on that if there's no dedicated vid mem?" the computer will designate some of it's ram to video so aspect is covered but you may run into big problems trying to game at 1080p with the internal Intel HD 3000 graphics. Some games will run at lower settings while some will not run at all. You may find that even when running the built-in display at 1366 x 768 depending upon the games you're looking to play. It's usually not a limitation of video ram but the video solution itself.

The box which countains the laptop itself says that it has 8gb of system ram, instead of 4gb. So I've got plenty which can be used by the video card I guess?

I just want to connect a full hd monitor to it and use it on the maximum resolution available.

Thanks for the answer, though.
