The consensus is that my 1035t is locked, and can't be overclocked. I decided I'm going to flip my MOBO to Intel and replace the CPU the same way. Here are the parts I decided on:

Corsair CX750: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

As for my CPU this is what I'm looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

ASUS Maximus VII Hero: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The GPU I'm kind of split on. On the one hand I have PNY GTX 970 that's very attractive, but also kind of pricey: PNY XLR8 VCGGTX9704XPB GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card
I was also considering a Radeon 280x: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...[5]

I'd appreciate advice on the cards.
As for RAM, I've got 8 gigs of DDR3 which is evidently compatible with my choice of motherboard. Eventually I figure I might have to get more RAM--but that wouldn't be a problem with my chosen motherboard, would it?
Anyways that's my build, based on pricing and advice. I'd appreciate other advice though. Thanks!

That CPU is locked as well, you would need a "K" version if you plan to OC. If not, then save some money and get a H97 motherboard instead of Z97. Regardless, I wouldn't spend $200 on a motherboard, you can get the Asus Z97-A for $140, which is a solid choice. Then go with the better GTX970.
