Hi
Imagine a hosepipe then the pressure of water in the hosepipe is equivalent to the voltage and the amount of water flowing out of the hosepipe is the current (amperage).
Would you rather be hit by 1 tidal wave that was a 100ft tall or 100 tidal waves that were 1 foot tall? They both might have the same Power in the end but one is much more manageable. =)
