hello, so i was watching youtube 2 days ago, i fell asleep and woke up to notice that my computer suddenly works really slow
i checked my taskmanager and see an svchost taking up all of my physiquel memory and it keeps increasing. it started at 155700kB and in just 9minutes it has gone up to 230000kB
i already checked where it should come from and its located in my C:\Windows\System32 folder
also i checked the service and everything seems to be legit. so i dont understand what happend while i was asleep. (also i wanted to try system recovery but no date was found to return to so yea...) any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks

now 20minutes later it has become 322944kB

great a second svchost has begon but with other services
also taking up 200000kb
please ,

you do realize that 322kb is 0.3mb = .003gb right?

Have you tried shutting it off and letting it cool off before restarting it?

LoL - I was wondering why you were stressing over such a minuscule amount.

The command to list out the owners of the svchost processes is: Tasklist /svc /fo list

But I think Techrepublic put out a program that will do the legwork for you, let me see if I can find it.

I've never used it though.
