It started this past saturday, and I noticed it first when playing CS GO, which I downloaded the day before. So I had been playing CS GO just fine on Friday. But now, whenever I play, (not just CS, but my other games too, like Far Cry and UT2004) my games sometimes fail to register any keyboard input for up to 30 seconds at a time, or at other times, they will fail to register when I move my mouse around, use the scroll wheel, etc. At first I thought it might be my connection, but then I tried out single player games like the ones I listed and the problem persisted.

Wireless mouse and keyboard? Could be connection getting interupted, as a serious gamer I had to switch back to wired KBM, but it was worth it to have seamless key response times.
It could be you raged too hard on your KBM and busted them as well.

Those both seem like possibilities, especially the latter :)  So do you think I just need a wired KB/M?

If you do have wireless KBM, then yes you should switch to a wired Gaming KBM. You'll notice much better response times, and you won't have random input issues. I had similar problems before when I was on a wireless KBM setup, it would work 99% of the time but that 1% was just unbearable.
