Hi,
I have Windows 7 for the computer that I built over the summer. I had downloaded something, and then uninstalled it. Now, a notification comes up, and says " Windows cannot find... Make sure you typed the name correctly, and try again" Is there any way to stop this notification as it annoys me and comes up every time I log in.

Was the thing you installed set to startup with Windows?
It could be a leftover registry key that's making all that, but I suspect that the program wasn't completely removed from the startup, and when it tries to start it, the error pops.

Therefore, open START, type msconfig, and press enter.
In the startup tab, see if the program you uninstalled is there, if it is, make sure you un-tick the check box.

To further clean your PC of leftover registry keys by uninstalled programs, CCleaner is a good tool.
Backing up the registry is a must.
