I decided to overclock my 970.
Here are the results. I ran GPU-Z in the background while running Valley Benchmark on Ultra and BF3 On ultra with AA

Here is the MSI afterburner settings?
http://prntscr.com/4vw27w

I got 4400something score on Valley and (80min/90+avg/120high) fps on BF3
BTW Valley shows that my GPU is at 1555Mhz
How do i know if my overclock is stable or not?

Solution
artifacts are little dots on the screen that aren't part of the image being rendered. If your picture is crystal clear, FPS fluctuations are generally normal, and those are not artifacts.

If your graphics are smooth and clear, then you have a stable OC.

Artifacts?

My FPS on BF3 (quick match) were jumping 90 to 110 to 80, but it was all when i was in action.
