I have Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics in my laptop and everytime it updates to the 3.44 Driver Software it drops everything it runs down to 3 FPS making it completely unusable. The Driver has worked before, but for some reason windows updates always causes this problem to reoccur. Im unsure how to get the newest driver software working and to keep it working, help would be appreciated.

Boot into Windows in safe mode then clean uninstall old nvidia driver using this : http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html.

Turn off internet connection, reboot and install latest Nvidia driver from the website.http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk (download driver onto usb first before uninstalling old one)

I have the driver ready on usb, but Im not exactly sure how to use the first program to remove the existing driver

Ok.
1)Go to the link I gave
2) Download latest version
3) (forget the safe mode just try in normal windows) Turn off your internet connection
4) Right click and run as admin the downloaded program
5)Select the 'Nvidia' graphic driver
6) select select all three checkboxes on right side and 'uninstall and restart'
7) Your system will restart
8) Now install new driver

Let me know if you still aren't able to do it. PM me and I can help you remotely over teamviewer if you wish.

Also, after you follow tambeshakunt's steps, I would disable Windows Update and update manually.

I clean uninstalled the driver and reinstalled from usb, then after manually updated windows and the problem persists. I continue to get 3-4 fps in every application I run :-(
