I took my computer apart today to start a rebuild and now when my wife tries to print she can't. However, she is able to still get onto the internet (thank God). We are both connected to the home network via Ethernet cable. I'm really fuzzy on networking, so I have no idea how to fix it. I'm assuming my PC was the "king" and now everybody else is screwed. :)

You may have set up print sharing on your PC. Is your printer connected directly to your PC with USB or is it connected to the router/network? If it's on the network and not connected directly to your PC, then go to printers on her PC and delete the printer. Then add a new printer and install the software from scratch. You can typically find the software to download from the manufacturers website.

They'll have to install the printer drivers. And one of them will have to share it. If its not a wireless printer

The printer was likely shared through your computer.

If this was a usb computer that was pluged into your computer then obviously no one can now print to the printer not hooked to your computer.

If this is a networked printer (connected via ethernet or wireless):
If you did not install the printer to each individual computer then this can easily happen.
If you setup the printer with this computer which is alredy set to share files and printers, then the other computers saw your printer share and they used that.
If this is the case then delete the printer from the other computers, and use the factory driver cd (or download from internet) to install driver to each individual pc

I deleted the printer from her computer, downloaded driver from Canon and ran the install. In the process of finding the printer it failed. I turned off the router and the printer then turned them back on. It still won't print. The printer shows as one of her devices, says it's ready, but no go for printing. Should I delete the home network and start over? Is there something else I need to do?

Get a wireless and get wireless adapters. It'd be easier

A wireless adapter should work.
