Aloha tom guns.
Here is another computer that I have been building for my brother.
It goes like-
Amd fx 6300
Digilite dl-960gm Mobo( dirt cheap)
Amd r9 270 ( not X version) oc edition
2gb gddr5.
8bg ddr3 Ram (@1600)
Peripherals that go without saying.
What I seek here is a suggestion for a PSU.
Graphic card on'box says 600w. Although barely would 600 watts be under exploitation.
So is the thunder 600w sufficient? I rather plan for the corsair vs550 550w. Hope it will be sufficient.
And what goes with this pin connection bloat that cracks me? Like connect to a single 6 pin in case of gpu etc. Will my Mobo and gpu be well supported directly by vs550 550w in matter on pins connecting ? My comp time it was smooth easy.
So also tell me the connecting pattern to the motherboard, gpu, Hdd and all.

Without knowing exactly what power supplies you can buy you can check here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html.

Anything in tier 1 and 2 is good at 550 watt. If you go for a Tier 3, get a 600. I would not go bellow Tier 3.

Since you got a cheap motherboard, you don't want to get a cheap power supply and have two components that have a risk of failing and taking out your CPU or video card.

You have a good video card and good CPU, then try to get the cheapest motherboard and power supply. That is like buying two gold bricks then tying it to a building with a noodle to keep them safe. You want the whole thing to be stable and well constructed not just the CPU and video card.

But I have a fund lot of 4k to 4.5k in Indian currency(INR).
So any if them in this range? And I dont think if any of seasonic is in India, if I am not wrong.
Please help further.

Eh jack? Will a 550w be suffice? I dont plan a crossfire or something. Overclock on this will be rare( do I even need to overclock this thing at times). Cuz this 550w will be much cheap here.
Help?

Hey... I appreciate your response. I wish to know that u r advisin me to get a better motherboard and too, a better psu? And for psu, is cosrair vs550 for 550 w good enough? To me it seems just nice.
And clear me Mobo thing Cuz I thot all it gotta do is support things( and build a base). So a better Mobo is compulsary? Psu corsair vs550 good enough for my config?

While that list is getting better .... gotta say that it lumps a lot of units together that I don't really thing are equal.

Seasonics X series is a step above the M12 which is a step above the S12

The Corsair HX is one of the best PSUs ever made (excluding 1000 and 1050)... has better voltage regulation and lower ripple than AX series which that hs higher.

There is a post a few years old that states the VS models are not good. Or rather OK for a regular PC but not a gaming one. Should be OK for a lower power card but I would not use it for a R9 270.
