CPU (MB) temp in speedfan - something to be worried about?

Long story short, my CPU (MB) temp in Speedfan reaches up to 55c under load. Idle is around 30-35c. CPU (Core) temp itself is "fine", haven't seen it go above 52c (max operating temp for my processor is 62c).

Main problem is I have no idea what CPU (MB) is. The area on the Motherboard around the CPU is my best guess? No clue.

CPU is an Phenom II X4 955 BE, motherboard is an MSI GD70 790fx. Thanks in advance for any help.

No, a Phenom II actually. Is there even an i7 x4 955? If so I've never heard of it.

I edited the OP in any case to avoid confusion.

Oh I'm not sure if there is a i7 x4 955. I'm not very good with the older CPU's.

Those temps are still nothing to worry about. Intel's don't usually start to throttle until like 85-90c. At least the newer ones don't. Have you tried HWMonitor?

As I said the max operating temp for my processor is 62c so I'm fine with my temps on the CPU. I'm more worried about my motherboard melting away since I have no idea what CPU (MB) actually is.

I think you are alright. Download HWMonitor.
