I have recently just fixed my computer by getting a new motherboard. Everything works fine, except for games. On certain games, I will load the menu screen but when it comes to actually playing it will display the game for a second or two, then the screen will go black, followed by the last sound being repeated, normally at first, then very fast(like a buzz). Then my computer will restart. I've tried installing and updating drivers, but the same problem occurs. There's been no over heating of any kind either, although The first couple of times I started my computer after the new mobo, it said that my CPU fan wasn't working properly, but I thought nothing of it because I have a second CPU fan that isn't governed by the mobo. As I said before, this only happens during certain games (Skyrim, Space Engineers, Just Cause 2 and Heroes & Generals) But other games work fine (Portal 2, Oblivion) There's been no over heating of any kind either, although The first couple of times I started my computer after the new mobo, it said that my CPU fan wasn't working properly, but I thought nothing of it because I have a second CPU fan that isn't governed by the mobo.

uhh, I dunno how it's possible for you to have a 2nd CPU cooler.

Do you mean you didn't plug the CPU cooler into the motherboard's CPU_FAN pins?

I have one CPU fan that plugs into the CPU_FAN connector on my mobo, but I have another CPU fan that plugs into one of the PSU chords. This is the type of CPU Heat sink I have: http://us.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/cooling/hyper... And I have a fan on each side.

If you are running a push/pull system you need to make sure the fans are facing in the same direction. I see these are the newer games you have issues with, what dirX are you running?

Im running DirectX11. I forgot to add that my GPU fans are revving up to what im assuming is max before and while the screen turns black, although there are no reports of overheating in GPU logs.
