Computer Shutting Off During Graphically Intense Games

Hi,

So as the title suggests, my new gaming computer that I built keeps shutting off when I play newer, more graphically intense games (most recently, Shadows of Mordor). It isn't a reboot, there's no BSOD, none of the graphics stutter before-hand, there's no slowing down, and I constantly monitor the temperatures of all of my components and they remain stable.

Since this is a shut down and not a reboot, my initial thought is that it's a PSU problem. If so, is there anything in particular I can do to fix the issue, or do I just need a new PSU (please no...)? I'll list the components of my computer:

CPU: Intel i7-4770K w/ Corsair H100i cooling
GPU: GeForce GTX 780Ti
RAM: 16 GB G.Skil Ripjaws X DDR3-1866
MOBO: Asus Maximus VI Hero
PSU: Corsair 850W ATX12V / EPS12V
OS: Windows 7

As you can see, I went for overkill with the PSU, and thought I got a really high-quality unit. Is it just defective? Do I need to purchase a new one? Or is there something I can do to try and fix it? Or might it not be the PSU at all? Let me know!

Thank you in advance for your time, it's greatly appreciated!

-Ryan
