This is the second time windows has crashed my Samsung NP355E7C Laptop, 8gig ram, 1T hd. The first time, in trying to resolve it's own issues, it apparently completely destroyed the HD because the bios did not even see it. This time, I cannot reset the pc - the bios does see the HD but is unable to reset it because of a drive partition. I can see X, E and G but not C. I am very tired of this. The first time Samsung just reinstalled a HD, this time, the warrently is out of course and I have no clue how to resolve this. I did these commands from the cmd prompt and it says there is no windows install once the last command finished:
Bootrec /fixMBR
bootrec /fixBoot
bootrec /rebuildBCD

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Aaron

The reset function with Windows 8 was broken with Windows 8.1 - this will prevent you from doing the reset. What operating system was shipped with your Laptop? You can download it - instructions are here: http://lifehacker.com/how-to-create-a-windows-8-install...
