2005 Pioneer Plasma model PDP-4214 HD. It will not turn on, just makes a clicking sound. I have tried unplugging and plugging it back in several times, this does not help. The lights across the bottom come on..but nothing on the screen. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Probably has a dead power supply. Also, I ironically have the exact same TV.

Really, I love this tv. So...how do I repair the dead power supply, sorry I know nothing about this stuff.

Well, you would probably have to call in someone, or at least somehow order the power supply for a 9 year old and replace it yourself. Again, don't mark my word 100% but very likely it is the power supply that has died. I know very little about TV internals compared to computer internals. And Pioneer did make great TVs, their plasmas especially, but I think they quit the TV business which could make things more troublesome.

Edit: Yes, I confirmed they no longer make televisions or any monitors for that manner

I know I heard the same. I will give it a try, such a great TV...just hate to trash it. Thank you.
