I installed Windows 7 (after DBANing the HD) and I cannot access the internet. This isn't an issue with the router or anything just the fact that the necessary drivers are missing (diagnosing the problem led to this conclusion.) I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T430, so I go the Lenovo support website find my laptop model, download the wireless drivers for win7 (Ericcson) but after that's finished, a notification saying that the drivers unsuccessfully installed comes up to which I click on. It says that the drivers for the USB controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller, Ethernet Controller, SM Bus Controller, Base System Dive, Network Controller, and BCM20702AD, are all missing. What do I do to resolve this?

You probably need the chipset drivers first. You might want to download all of the drivers to a flash drive, and then install them. It doesn't give the specific order needed on the website.

What do you mean all of the drivers? I'll work on the chipset...

There are about 10-15 drivers (pick the correct language, OS) to download - you don't need the BIOS update....

I'll go ahead and download the first 10 or so of the drivers on the support page sans the bios one. I thank you for you help, but there are literally more than a hundred drivers to pick from.

There are different variations of the hardware and software - If you look at device manager, it should help you narrow down the choices.

So checked out the device manager, it gave me that list of stuff that i posted before... minus PCI communications... Then I installed the USB 3.0 Driver which fixed that problem. But what is a "base system device"?

When installing Windows and trying to figure out the software, sometimes it is more difficult than others to figure out which drivers need to be installed....the most current drivers are the ones that should be used - they list out many different versions of each.
