Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am having some issues with my brand new ASUS gtx 970. I just had it installed and started playing total war napoleon. With everything on ultra....well I am getting 15 FPS. I am guessing this is bad since that is what I used to get with my radeon R9 270x. Am I having a CPU issues? My computer specs are as follows
AMD A10 elite quad core
ASUS gtx 970
Corsair 750 watt
some kind of generic ASUS tower

I am not very good with computers but.... Open your task manager your CPU usage might be full...

I would check to see if the CPU is the issue by running task manger and something such as MSI Afterburner as you play your game. If the CPU is at 100% usage while the graphics card is not, then it is bottle-necking the card. Just from the specs, I do believe the CPU is holding the card back, but we might as well check.

oh god why you paired APU with 970?
btw did you updated drivers?
I am thinking of bottlenecking here

Have you uninstalled the old AMD drivers and is the iGPU disabled?

OKay so here is the data, while on shogun total war @ full 1080x19whatever and everything on ultra with no AA enabled....my CPU is at 100% even when at the main menu....so what do I need to do to alleviate the CPU? add more memory to it?
I didn't actually install it so I wouldn't even know what to look for if I needed to delete some of the old AMD drivers. What is iGPU?

The iGPU is the internal APUs GPU, if it's enabled it can be taking DRAM and slowing don the overall system
