Cannot setup a remote desktop connection using Monect between Android phone and PC

Hello friends, I am trying to set-up a remote desktop connection between my PC (windows 7 ultimate) and my Samsung Galaxy S duos 2 (android 4.2.2) using a software called Monect over Wi-fi. I have installed the Monect Host in my PC and white listed it in the windows firewall. After installing the Monect portable in my android phone, when i start it, it searches for any device over Wi-fi but cannot find my PC. I am using a Netgear JNR1010 Wi-fi router for internet. My PC is connected to the router over Wi-fi by a Netgear dongle.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Finally figured out the problem. the software ''Monect" was blocked by my anti-virus. the anti-virus treated it as an adware. alternatively i tried to setup remote desktop connection using the RDP client in my PC and the RDP client by microsoft for android. They are successfully connected.
