Hey guys, I'm building a computer and well I have a spare Rosewill RCX-Z1, but I noticed and read online that it's not supported on AM3+ mobos and that it's not a very good cooler.

Anyway so I'm here to ask you guys if I should pop in my Rosewill RCX-Z1 or stay with the stock CPU while I'm building my new computer.

(I know overclocking isn't gonna be a good idea. I'll buy a cooler master 212 Evo when I decide to over clock)

Oh here's my build:http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jimlarck/saved/6jzXsY

The EVO is hard to beat. On any system that I was pushing the CPU, I would purchase the EVO. It is on sale for $30....I would skip lunch a couple of days to get it....LOL. You can throw away $15 -$20 on a cooler that you will eventually replace with a $30.....

The Rosewill RCX-Z1 is not as good as the stock cooler AT all. I do not recommend Stock coolers either. The Amd
stock cooler Might be ok on a 4 core FX for Grandma. But once you start stressing your cpu you want it as cool as
possible.I am a little biased because I build computers for others and I want them to stand up.Just my 2 cents.

If you plan on hard core gaming and/or OC'ing the processor - I would go with the Cooler Master 212 Evo. I have run the stock fan on my 2nd computer for a year with no temperatures over 60 degrees - but I am not a gamer or overclocker.

I have the Rosewill on my wife's computer - running 2+ years - no problems....again - she isn't a gamer or overclocker either....
