2 GTX 980 vs 1 GTX titan black

What would be more powerful and by how much?

I might get a gtx 980 and then get another one in about a year. Should I do that or get one GTX titan black?

A Titan Black is equivalent in performance to a 780 Ti as long as you stay within the 780Ti's 3GB limit. So of course two 980s are much faster as they are each a bit faster than a 780Ti.

This website doesn't have GTX 980 in SLI, but it beats the GTX TItan Black already, let alone havnig two GTX 980s. Here is the link.

The Titan has applicability in the workstation arena.

The Titan cards have double precision capability and come with more VRAM than regular gaming cards. Such is for work purposes rather than just games.
