Hey,

I don't think you can even get a mechanical keyboard in North America for less than $50 :S

Most good starter ones are actually $80-100+

Personally, I'd save up if you have your heart set on a mechanical.

Well I wouldn't take any of these random brand ones personally. Though being from North America, maybe I just don't know as much about those brands :)
I bet there is a good chance they don't last a year or have other obvious faults.

Most of the rubberdome keyboards are the same. I'd pick one you like the look of, has extra macro keys you'll use, or is a backlit colour you like. Though at that price point you might not find much.

Edit: I guess after looking, lots of the basic $5-10 keyboards we have here are like $20-25 where you are :S. Seems maybe that TVS-E is worth a try.

Not sure how your warranties work over there, but this keyboard at least has 3 year warranty and a few extra macro buttons. It's only rs 3,999 so not too much more to save up.

Edit: nvm, it doesn't name the switches so wouldn't trust it.

To be honest, in rubberdome keyboards, buy any one you find suitable for you. Infact don't over spend on them. Logitech is nice one.

I found most mechanical are louder than rubber domes. Mechanical I find are easier to press.

These are some basic ones.

The logitech k120 is a "best seller" over here. Not that it means much. I have one and it works as good as $30 keyboards I've owned. That is what we mean when we say "all rubberdome are the same".

If you need a mouse, get the combo, if not, any of the rs 300-600 keyboards on amazon.in will be good I think.

This article should help explain the different mechanical keyboard switch types commonly used http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/mechanical-keyboard-guide there are more than that but those are currently the most common (Cherry MX Green are becoming popular also)

I've used rubberdome keyboards for like 10 years or more Recently I switched to Mechanical keyboard and first question which I asked from myself why I did not switch earlier. I don't know much about this mechanical keyboard but mechanical keyboards are much better than rubberdome keyboards in their touch and press, clicking effect (Yup, you may not like the sound but I do).

I hope you would like mechanical keyboards.

We can't tell you if you will like the feel or not. I have read from reviews that more people like mechanical than not. I find myself typing faster with less strain.

You have a 7 day return policy going with snapdeals and 1 or 2 hours should be enough to determine whether you like it or not. My first key stroke on my k95 and I knew I made a great choice :)
