Will asus gtx970 strix sli or single be fitted in cooler master k380 cabinet?if yes then which one sli or single?please suggest...my mobo is asus z97 A..

CM K380 supports GPU upto length 316.6mm. 970 Strix card has length of 279.4mm. So you can use this card in single and in SLI format in CM K380.

lengthwise its fine......but i want to ask whether the width would be a problem
i have the same cabinet..... and im looking whether to purchase this card or not
i should also mention that i have a side panel fan mounted as well
coolermaster sickle flow blue led

You asked about the width of the graphics card. That is if it is single slot or dual slot. Normally on full form factor size mobos this is not a issue. But, answer was sort of irrelevant. You are right about it. See the pic below, it has your answer. Width of the card should not affect any thing except that of more area being covered on the mobo.

just one last question.......is the hieght of a card standardised??
what i mean to say is......can there be a case where i am able to install a card......but not be close the side panel??
if so.....then will this be a problem with the strix 970 and k380??

in the specs .....the gfx card is 5.5" or 141 mm tall
the case can support a cooler of max height of 155 mm.Now i know that these are two very different things....but i cant find any similar spec for the gpu....
what i need to know is wether i will be able to close the side panel after installing the gpu.

K380 has clearance of CPU cooler to the height of 6.1". Asus Strix card has height of 5.5". I don't see any reason as to why you can't install this GPU in K380 and can't close the side panel. No issue there. To answer your question regarding height of card. Generally, all reference cards have same height, but non-reference cards may have more height due to custom PCB.
