Hello everyone, for a few years now, I've had a dell vostro 3500 and it runs just fine, however the graphics are kind of holding me back. Anyway my main point is, are you able to put a dell xps mobo or similar into a vostro laptop? i was looking at the xps 15 L521X motherboard and it has built in nvidia gt 640, which would be good for the games I play, which are League Of Legends, and Mainly Minecraft (sometimes i use shaders). (And i know this laptop wasn't designed for gaming but I play on low most of the time). If it is possible to replace the motherboard, I would prefer a motherboard with an i5 atleast. I don't mind the i3's but i need something that will be fast enough for todays programs (I own an acer aspire with an i3 and it's really slow)

Thanks :)

Yep, you're better off just buying another laptop. The Vostro line is the entry level notebook for business. The Latitude is more capable and reliable, and they even sometimes come with their own discrete graphics card. For gaming thoough, you're bettery off with an XPS, or Alienware if you got the cash.
