i have spent on and off atleast 3 hours today trying to root my LG G2 Verizion so i can do the G3 software i have been on countlest sites and downloaded 1000 files it seams like and every time i get it to go to the root the phone reboots and stays on a screen with a android man with his chest open with a red triangle with a ! mark!!!!!! and its driving me crazy

it asked to enable adb connection. That's done, checked with command prompt and all.

I have debugging on

Its in Ethernet mode

Installed all the drivers

And after being frustrated i did a factory reset and that didn't work either!

Any help would be very appreciated!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!

Try wiping the cache. See if that works.

If that does not work, factory reset again, unroot and then root again.

Have you tried Kingo root? That's how I rooted my phone.

Id rather not use them. And also to install CWM, you have to be rooted, right?

Yea, but Kingo should be safe. XDA started recommending them again. I used them and haven't had any problems. Anyway, would you rather use a one-click root or go the more advanced route and use odin?

I've heard towelroot was pretty good, you might want to try them.

Once you root, you might want to install a custom recovery.
