Hello Everyone,
So I installed cpu-z, and some information shocked me. The thing is that in cpu-z my processors name is "Intel Core i5 3427u", while just below it, in Specification, its written "Intel Core i5 3337u". Also when I go to my System properties, Im shown 3337u. So I decieded to do my own tests. I first started to encode video will maximum cpu being shown as 2.50ghz(with turbo boost), but if I have 3337u processor, I should have gotten speeds till 2.70ghz. This lead me to more confusion since intel's website says that the maximum turbo frequency for 3337u is 2.70ghz, while for 3427u is 2.50ghz. Also to this I checked the support of my laptop on Dell's site, it too claimed it to be a 3337u processor. Im super confused, any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
HemdonG

Believe the system properties. Encoding doesn't make sure the CPU hits full.

Hello... Here is Intels comparison of those two... http://ark.intel.com/compare/72055,64903
One has VPRO tech in it... check your device manager for the LAN information... or if you have a intel Vpro app installed? the 3427 has a higher hardware enabled security feature.
