Hi,

sorry for the really noobish questions... but recently updated the R9270X drivers via the catalyst suite.

Since then it doesn't seem to run as smooth as what it did. It's relatively a new build, only around 1month old... Should I have uninstalled the old driver first?

Or is it a case the new update just isn't as good, and should revert. If I revert, again should I un-install, or just go to the ATI website, download and click install?

My Build;

M5A990XREV2
FX8320 (stock)
R9 270X
8GB GSkill sniper RAM 1866

just roll back the drivers or wait till a new update comes

Thanks - can you do this within catalyst suite, like revert to previous driver..... or just download the same driver I used before (May still actually have it on my USB pen drive) and install.

Was consistantly getting a solid 60fps in Titanfall, with next no drops on my original set up. With the new driver, it does run at 60fps, but will then drop particularly when a lot of action, sometimes as low as 30's (I know they do go up/down throughout the games, but this is MUCH more frequent and goes much lower)

Haha someone is desperate for best answer. You are only lagging because the graphic card is weak and the new driver has changed the graphics settings in the AMD catalyst settings. Just make it back to default or use game settings. Should be fine.

The new driver actually lowered the previous driver settings haha

I know it's not the strongest GPU, was doing a budget build, and for the price you can't go wrong.

before the update, everything was silky smooth and no lagging EVER!

note to self, dont update anything that's no broken lol

I'll try what you said, push it back to default, if that dont work I'll look at tweaking the game settings. thought the game settings haven't changed between old driver and current driver
