Heres my crystaldiskinfo on my current drive.....note the hours on it. I don't leave it on 24/7. Turn it on when I need it, then off when I'm ready to go to bed, so about 14 hrs a day give or take. I'm really amazed it's lasted this long probably a world record or something.

Now I just ordered a WD 250gig PATA 8mb cache 7200rpm hard drive to replace this as lately when I go to turn on the computer it will start up with fans going then stop and repeat until I force it off with the power button and turn it back (it usually works) and sometimes my pc will randomly just freeze which I figured it's the hard drive failing. So when this new drive arrives and I install it into the case....what do I do after I hit the power button? Do I just throw in my Windows 7 dvd and install windows as usual or is there something special that needs to be done before hand? Thanks!
