I have a Haswell 4670k (MSI Z87-G41 mobo) and I want to overclock it to 4.2GHz to get optimal performance. I have an overkill cooler so heat isn't an issue. The problem is that I don't want it to stick at 4.2GHz the entire time it's on because 90% of the time I'm not doing anything CPU-intensive. The processor seems to switch the clock speed according to the usage automatically. Is there any way I can have the max clock speed up at 4.2GHz while maintaining this feature? It seems to be disabled every time I switch it away from default.
