I have a desktop with windows 7, motherboard ASUS V7-P5g43M, 2 sata 3.5 hard disks WD.
Left the PC turned on and this morning all was blocked (unresponsive to mouse or keyboard).
I made a cold turn off

When rebooting I got the error 1:
"Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

Turned off and in the following boot I got erro 2:
"Primary Master Hard Disk Error F1 to resume"
If I press F1 I get the error 1 again.

I thought this could be a problem with disk 1 so I unplugged it from motherboard and made disk 2 as master (disk 2 had a clone made 1 month ago aprox).

Exactly the same problem happened (it not impossible but it's quite unusual that both failed in the same day).

I've been reading through the forum and tried already this:
- Many boots with same result (message alternates from error 1 and error 2)
- I used laptop and a disk box to made a quick test using WD software. Both passed.
- When I try to access from laptop to the disks I get "The disk in E is not formatted. Do you want to format it now ?". So I'm not able to access the contents of any of the disks from the laptop
- I plugged the RAM dims, one by one, just to see if that could be the problem. No result.
- Tried to plugin the disks to different slots in the motherboard. Same errors 1 and 2.
- Tried other SATA cables. Same error
- Tried to boot from the hard disk box, changing boot priorities in the BIOS. Same errors 1 and 2

To understand if motherboard could be defective, I inserted an old hard disk of this PC, which had windows XP. All went well. Started windows normally so I guess motherboard is fine.

I don’t know what else I could try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
