Hi everybody!

I'm about buying a new gaming laptop, and my main concern is the brand.. I've made a little investigation and finally found two specious rigs:

1. ASUS G551JM - i7-4710HQ, GTX 860M 4 GB GDDR5, 8 GB DDR 3 RAM, 15,6", costs $ 1300

2. MSI GT70 2PE Dominator Pro - i7-4700HQ, GTX 880M 4 GB GDDR5, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, 17,3" costs $ 1650

I admit that the MSI one is superior in performance (that GTX 880 would be so wonderful), but I've heard several rumors that it has weak quality compared to ASUS (poor materials, heating problems, and so on). So the ASUS machine might be more durable. Is that true? I haven't checked for more powerful ASUS rigs, because they are far more expensive than the MSI rigs (maybe that why they have poor quality, if it's true) and this MSI one has the maximum price which I can afford.
So guys, the question is: if you were me, which power plant would you buy??

Many thanks in advance for your help!

i say go with the asus one ..you wont see much difference in performance .. you will probably get a 10 to 15 fps gain with 880 over the 860 ... not sure about the heating part but i do know that asus generally has nice cooling systems so that is why i recommend it over the stronger msi one .. its slightly slower but less likely to attract heat and get busted

I find it funny how people throw around '10-15fps' like its nothing. People overclock their GPUs for a mere 5fps FFS!

Your statement about MSI is correct, I would also choose Asus over them. Here is a laptop that is similar in price of that MSI.
