I know there is plenty articles on here listing what should be done if your motherboard doesn't boot and beep. I've tried them all about 10 times. Ive also replaced the cpu, psu and ram with no luck. So I got a replacement MB after I decided it must be the mobo that had failed. On installing the mobo I find it still doesnt boot. What else is there? The only common relation between the 2 is the case (Antec isk600), but how is that related? Banging my head against the table now, it been a week long problem. Any help?

Hyper 1866mhz 4gb ram
cooler master tx3 cooler
antec isk600 case

They were already in the case, pre-installed by Antec

Can you try a different brand PSU? It's pretty unlikely two were bad but the CX series isn't known for it's high quality.

The only other PSU I have is a 400w "Colors-it" PSU out of another build, never heard of that brand unless its what CIT used to be called, but it works fine in the other build. Still no change.

Is it still likely to be the PSU? I thought Corsair were supposed to be reliable?

The better Corsair power supplies are good, the CX series isn't so much. You are plugging in the motherboard and CPU power right?

yep, both plugged in.

Would a dodgy psu prevent the motherboard from beeping? I havent had a single beep from this thing at all.

Well if the PSU doesn't work then nothing is going to happen. Try assembling the computer on your counter, outside of the case, and see what happens.

hazzaar!!!!!!!
came across another thread saying hdmi wouldnt work on first install. Never even thought of that, plugged a dvi cable in instead and boom, BIOS! It must have been booting ok, but the motherboard is still completely mute, dont know why, but i was non the wiser since i was blaming everything other than the actual display being hdmi. Sorted, Thank guys. Maybe the choice of display should be added to the no post/boot troubleshooting article.
