Hi, my laptop about 2 days ago started not being able to connect to the WiFi. It can see my home network (and other networks) and allows me to try and connect, asks for a password and then says cannot connect. I've tried resetting the winsock catalogue (which worked once for a few hours), redoing the IP address, restarting, disable/renable wireless adapter, reinstalling wireless adapter, and finally REINSTALLING WINDOWS!

I'm currently using the internet by connecting to the WiFi using my phone then tethering through USB, but this less than ideal!

I can't access the router settings because I'm currently in like a homestay thing and I don't want to start pissing about with someone else's router, but it DID work here until a couple days ago.

OH I also tried to use my phone as a WiFi hotspot both with and without a password and it didn't connect then either. Has to be USB tethered.

I forgot to say, I'm using an Asus Laptop and my phone (the one I'm using for USB tethering) is a Motorola Moto G running Android. I'm not sure how many other things are connected to network, but I tried disconnecting my phone to leave a gap and then connecting but still nothing.
