Hi guys! I have a question. I'm planning on buying an ASUS ROG Striker GTX 760 4GB graphics card and I wonder if I could power it with my current PSU which is a Chieftec 600W. The power calculator websites all give me really different reccomendations ranging from 435W to 650W so I was wondering what you think about this.

My other specs are:
i5-4690K
ASUS Z87A mobo
2x4GB Kingston HyperX DDR3

Hi there,

First of all GTX 760 dont worth it especially 4-gigs model. If you want to buy it so badly then a good 500-550W PSU such as Seasonic, XFX for ex. would run your system fine and stable.

Have a nice day

Chieftec doesn't any PSUs I'd trust. Assuming you are running stock a good 450-500W will be fine. I'm using a 450W for my 3570k and 7950 which uses more power then your setup.

The Power Supply Unit tier listI recommended you pick from Tier 1 for highest quality and most stable PSUs

I guess I'll be fine then with this PSU. I've been running an overclocked AMD Phenom X4 II 955 BE (running @ 3900MHz) and a AMD HD6870 graphics card on the same PSU and all those power calculator websites spew out the same results as the build I'm currently creating for myself. And one fine day, I'll get myself a top tier Corsair PSU.
