Hello community, I am planning to buy this laptop for my college and work needs. It is the best thing I could find in my local market (I can't afford shipping costs) for 400€. I just want to know if it is a smart buy. Not planning to game on it, but maybe some TF2 in the future. These are the specs:

Acer Aspire E1-570G

CPU: Intel Core i3-3217U 1.86 GHz 3 MB.
RAM: 4GB DDR3 Dual Channel.
Hard Disk: 1TB 5400 RPM.
Display: 15.6" LED HD (1366 x 768) 16:9 Glare.
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M 2GB GDDR3.

I am not sure about the processor, there are other laptops in the same price or less with a Haswell chip. The con would be integrated graphics instead of the dedicated GT 740M.

i was looking at cpu at 1.8ghz as well and was a bit sceptical do you mind going amd if not here is a lovely one

its really cheap plus amd integrated graphics are far far more powerful than intel hd graphics and will be ok for a bit of casual gaming and hd playback

Intel Core i3-4030U

The AMD A6-6310 was a sweet choice too, but since Internet is flooded of AMD hating and biased reviews, I do not know what or who believe. They say is shitty and even claim the integrated Radeon R4/R5 was weaker than the HD 4400.

im a intel guy and i am being honest here amd suck at games in terms of cpu but in terms of multithreaded and heavy programs they always beat intel because they always give you alot more cpu cores and l2&l3 cache ..i think they acknowledge that they cant beat intel in speed so they settle for productivity instead.. the r4 graphics aint the best but it beats any hd graphics any day believe that .. whoever said the hd 4400 beats the r4 is a fanboy .. intel is the king in singlethreaded applications and amd is the king in multithreaded and having multiple programs open all at once .. and that haswell i3 is not much of a improvements ,it supportse higher rams but that dont means its best ,i would recommend you go with the intel over the amd i suggested though because it has 4 threads so it should be able to keep up with that a8 6410 i posted..

Thanks you very much for your help.
So, I guess this statement:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-A-Series-A6-6310-Noteb...
Is false.

They claim what I said.

Quote:
The SoC integrates a Radeon R4 GPU with 128 shaders, which is based on the GCN architecture and clocked at up to 800 MHz. On average, the graphics performance is comparable to Intel's HD Graphics 4200
